When we started our Sotamar Shark Tour project in 2016, with the guiding principle: INTERACTION, EDUCATION, AND CONSERVATION, shark diving trips were one of our goals. For this reason, our emblem featured a hammerhead shark.
After looking for (and finding) blue sharks in the waters of Cap de Creus, our project grew and the RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION of the Blue Shark or “Tintorera” (Prionace glauca) is now one of our main objectives.
For this reason, we have decided to change our logo and adopt the blue shark as our emblem, a species classified by the IUCN as critically endangered in the Mediterranean.
