The 2024 Shark Tagging Scientific Day was initially scheduled for July 14 but had to be postponed due to weather conditions. It was ultimately held on July 28.
As in previous years, the event was organized by the Associació Catalana per una Pesca Responsable (ACPR), in collaboration with the Institut de Ciències del Mar (CSIC), the Barcelona Zoo Foundation, and the University of Barcelona.
On this occasion, Sotamar Shark Tour's participation was partial, as the event coincided with a trip from our Cap de Creus Experience program.
During the day, only one blue shark was tagged, fitted with a MiniPAT satellite tag.
